Montreal's retro pop classicists The High Dials announced their return this fall with a two-part album - Primitive Feelings. Released digitally in June, Part I roamed like a blissed-out tiger across a colourful landscape of northern soul, electro pop and psychedelic cumbia. In late September, Part II bares its teeth and concludes the full LP, now available on 180 gram coloured vinyl. The resulting album is a fun, summery mix of soulful, druggy beats recalling lo-fi indie dance gems from Primal Scream and Beck. Recommended for fans of the sunnier side of psychedelic indie - MGMT, Flaming Lips, Broncho and Ariel Pink.
